Abstract:: Bonnie Tinker (1948-2009) was a Quaker social activist who campaigned for peace and gay and lesbian right. This collection contains drafts and correspondences concerning the movie "Love Makes a Family" (1992) produced by Bonnie Tinker. The collection also contains personal papers, fundraising for the project, and reference material on non-traditional forms of family.

Abstract:: The Society of Friends or Quakers (the terms are synonymous) was founded in the middle of the seventeenth century in England by George Fox and others. The Friends Historical Library has collected Quaker disciplines since its founding in 1871. FHL is also the official repository for the records of seven American yearly meetings.

Abstract:: North Pacific Yearly Meeting is made of of members of the Society of Friends in the northwestern United States. Some of the Yearly Meeting's records are stored at the Oregon Historical Society Library, Portland, Oregon, but copies of the Proceedings and Steering Committee minutes are also deposited in the Friends Historical Library, although FHL is not the formal depository.
