Abstract:: Elizabeth J. Forrester (1916-1991) was a community leader active in the Episcopal Church. For most of her career she worked in the Philadelphia area as a social worker and as a director of community improvement projects; she also served on the Boards of numerous charitable, health and educational organizations. Deeply involved with her congregation, the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas, Forrester became the first African-American president of the Episcopal Church Women in the Diocese of Pennsylvania. The Elizabeth J. Forrester papers on Episcopalianism, 1970-1991, consist of papers accumulated by Forrester on Episcopalianism, church issues, Episcopal organizations with which she was involved (principally the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas and Episcopal Church Women), and other Episcopal congregations. Included are pamphlets, newsletters, and other printed ephemera; correspondence; handwritten notes; and a few photographs.

Abstract:: Frances I. Clark was a West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania resident active in the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas, especially from the 1960s through the 1990s. The Frances I. Clark papers on African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas, 1967-1999, include church records, history/research materials, clippings, pamphlets and brochures, some photographs, and other materials relating to Clark's involvement with the church. A large quantity pertain to the church's history and anniversary programs.

Abstract:: St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne, Radnor Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania traces its origins to 1700, when services were held in the homes of local residents. The original church building, still extant on the property, was constructed in 1715, and continues to be used as a place of worship. In 1956, a new building, known as the "chapel" was constructed. A new and larger chapel was built in 2006 and the 1956 chapel was reconfigured as a fellowship hall and renamed St. David's Hall. As of 2016, St. David's Episcopal Church continues to live into its mission: "to know God in Jesus Christ and to make Christ known to others" and to expand its congregation. It also remains committed to continuing worship and maintaining and increasing its education activities and outreach ministries. Abstract:: The Episcopal Peace Fellowship (EPF), was founded November 1939 as an association of pacifist members of the Protestant Episcopal Church. The organization sought to discover and unite pacifists within the church and to influence its membership regarding Christianity and peace. The EPF has sponsored educational projects (publications, lectures, workshops, conferences), provided counseling and financial support for conscientious objectors, and contributed to pacifist projects in other countries.
