"Norman (Cornthwaite) Nicholson." Contemporary Authors Online (reproduced in Gale Biography In Context). http://ic.galegroup.com (accessed July 2011).
The script consists of readings by Nicholson and unidentified reader, as well Nicholson's commentary on particular poems. The typescript bears a few holograph corrections, deletions, and additions, all made by the author. On page eight Nicholson added a four line commentary regarding the poem, "Have You Been to London?"
All of the poems included in the script appear in Nicholson's collection of poetry,A Local Habitation, which was published in 1972.
Although there is no indication on the typescript itself, it is possible that it was produced for a radio or television program for the British Broadcasting Corporation. Nicholson read and was interviewed for a number of BBC radio and television broadcasts.
