Overview and metadata sections

This collection consists of annual reports (and some other publications) issued by philanthropic groups, schools and other organizations that were either started by Quakers, included many Quakers in their administration, and/or appealed to Quakers. The reports were collected at various times from various sources, and are sorted by organization.

The annual reports are sorted alphabetically by organization name, and then chronologically by date of issue.

Materials were collected at various times from various sources by Friends Historical Library staff.

Official annual reports of the Library are included in the printed minutes of London Yearly Meeting (see SG 2). Reprints appeared until about 1923. After 1923 the separate reprint was dropped and an annual short leaflet of information issued. This included a selected list of books added since the previous issue, and the first page of general information changed little from year to year.
