Overview and metadata sections
The Swarthmore Camera Club was student organization devoted to the study of photography. It sponsored an annual Lantern Slide Exhibition beginning in 1894 for which the participants took the photographs and manufactured the slides for presentation. The Club was under the leadership of Professor George A. Hoadley and Professor Henry V. Gummere. Hoadley (1848-1936) was a professor of physics at the College from 1888-1914. Gummere taught mathematics 1893-1898.
This small collection contains a volume of minutes, 1896-1902, with some financial records and a program of the 1896 Third Annual Lantern Slide Exhibition.
