Overview and metadata sections
Ellen L. Thomas (1853-1925), was a birthright member of Radnor Monthly Meeting and president of Montgomery County Suffrage Association.
This small collection contains chiefly short manuscripts, authors unknown, concerning women's issues, in particular suffrage and temperance.
The collection is divided into three series:
- Business papers
Donor: Unknown, date unknown
The source of these papers is unknown. At some date before 1967, the papers were catalogued and stored together with another group of papers from an identified source. In 2000, the papers were given separate cataloguing because they have no apparent connection.
Formerly cited as Walton and Thomas Families Papers, RG 5/160. The information concerning the source of these papers was lost, and sometime before 1967, the Thomas papers were catalogued and stored with a larger collection of papers concerning the Walton family, apparently unrelated. In October 2000, the two collections were catalogued as separate Record Groups.
