Contains papers compiled by Arthur Edwin Bye, Quaker genealogist and local historian. Includes genealogical files on the Bye and related families of Bucks County, PA, and Cecil County, MD. His research culminated in the publication in 1956 of the book History of the Bye Family and some allied families.

Collection Inventory
Consists of six gray folders, mainly longhand, and some typed sheets, prepared by Dr. Arthur E. Bye. In addition to genealogical data, these folders contain historical narratives, character sketches, copies of deeds and wills, descriptions of coat of arms, anecdotes.
"Introduction. Genealogy starts with Thomas Bye d. 1726, England; Concludes with Samuel Bye b. 1-29-1764, son of Hezekiah & Mary Ingham Bye, Buckingham Meeting."
Begins with Enoch Bye b. 9-27-1757, d.1-12-1837. Concludes with Andrew Moore Bye b.9-24-1850.
Begins with Jonathan Bye b. l-22-1761, heir to the family estate in Solebury, and concluding with William DeWitt Bye, b. ll-24-1861.
