Louis McKee was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 3, 1951. He was a poet and editor working in the greater Philadelphia area. Over the course of his life, he published more than fifteen collections of his poetry. In addition to his work as a writer, McKee taught English at Father Judge High School for over thirty years. McKee passed in 2011 at 60 years old.
The Louis McKee papers contain writings, research, events, and correspondence among other materials all relating to McKee's poetry and writing career.
