Overview and metadata sections
Album compiled by Craig Dorsey Ritchie consisting of 47 silver-gelatin prints depicting Rome, Italy. The images measure approximately 4" x 5" and are affixed to postcard-size boards. The cartes de visites were commercially produced: the majority by a firm known as Libreria Olivieri, who also sold the vellum-bound album. The photographs are of famous sites and works of art found in Rome. The album has been disbound to conserve and preserve the items. Box 1 contains the original vellum album. Box 2 contains the 47 cards and a handwritten list of the images.
