Overview and metadata sections

Jean Simpson Stephenson is an artist known for creating wood block prints. She graduated from the University of the Arts in 1947, and is a member of the Guild of Book Workers. She lives in Bronxville, New York.

This collection consists of linocut holiday cards that Stephenson printed and sent to her friends from 1997 to 2019. These cards are arranged by date and appear to reflect Stephenson's interests in travel and nature. Frequently (but not always) included in the card is a description of the subject of the card and why or how it is meaningful to Stephenson.

Gift of Caroline Schimmel, 2020.
