Comprises a blue, paper covered volume containing a handwritten library inventory of books at Ridgewold Farm, Groton Massachusetts. "Catalogue of books in Groton. Ridgewold Farm, March 1889" is written on inside front cover. The catalog is divided into two parts. The first part lists books by subject with a room location either parlor or south library, and bookcase number. The subjects are as follows: poetry, the British poets, history, lives of eminent people, Irving's works, Dicken's works, the British essayist, religious works, and miscellaneous. The second part lists the items according to bookcase numbers one to four. The miscellaneous section includes numerous works on agriculture and farm animals.
