Overview and metadata sections

Little is known of the Falmouth and Windham Union Libraries, probably located in the southeast of Maine. The Libby family was prominent in Maine throughout its history; and there are multiple people called Elias Libby. It is possible that the Elias Libby recorded in this volume is Elias H. Libby (1840-1862) who lived in Standish, Maine. Other Libby family members mentioned in the volume include Andrew Libby (possibly 1824-1877) and William M. Libby (possibly died 1887), both also living in Standish.

Constitution, accounts and other records of the Falmouth and Windham Union Libraries. Beginning on page 22, records from the Libby family, primarily recorded about Elias Libby. Quarter bound, tanned animal skin over spine, marbled paper over boards.

Sold by DeWolfe & Wood (Alfred, Maine), 2020.

This volume was cataloged during a group project in July 2025.
