Overview and metadata sections

This volume's creator is unknown.

This volume contains 21 culinary recipes and was created by an unknown creator between 1901 and 1924. There are additionally examination and appointment accounts from a doctor or doctor's office.

The majority of the pages in this volume are blank, including two long runs of blank pages (p. 52-69, 76-133). The volume has some original pagination, but several pages have been removed, so the cataloger has supplied pagination.

There are two hands present in this volume, one responsible for the recipes and the other for the examination and appointment accounts. These accounts include columns for the date, number of specimens, name of patient, name of physician, and results. The accounts, which date to 1901, appear to pre-date the recipes.

Examples of recipes include black chocolate cake (p. 5), lemon meringue pie (p. 8), Relia Weaver's hot water molasses cake (p. 11), Mrs. Wigel nut gelatin salad (p. 15), cream puffs (p. 17), and pumpkin pie (p. 20).

Gift of Nick Malgieri.
