Overview and metadata sections

Volume containing a travel diary by an unnamed author, probably from New York, written around 1901. The traveler embarked on a voyage from New York to Southampton, England aboard the American Line twin-screw steamer the St. Louis. The traveler's European tour is recorded in the diary along with numerous clippings pasted in volume. The clippings, probably from guidebooks, include pictures and short articles about each city. The tour included Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Scotland, and Switzerland. Recorded in the diary are cities visited, hotels, monetary exchanges, and dates of arrival. Pages in the volume are numbered in pencil 1-133. The center gathering is detached. Spine is lacking.
