Willigerod was born on August 28, 1820 in Hanover, Germany. He attended Thierarznei-Institute in Göttingen and was sanctioned as a veterinarian by the Kingdom of Hanover on January 31, 1849. In 1856 Willigerod settled in Ebstorf and was awarded the Lehramt for veterinary studies.
This volume comprises instructions for the care of agricultural animals. The volume was written by Heinrich Willigerod in October 1868 as indicated on the inside front cover. There is a table of contents on the first two pages. The work consists of explanations with some recipes and remedies to care for the organs, anatomy, and healthy life of domestic farm animals through diet and the environment.
