Overview and metadata sections
The History of Nursing in Philadelphia was a project to celebrate nursing history in Philadelphia around Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Directed by Lillian Sholtis Brunner, this group of individuals hosted a week long exhibit at the College of Physicians and the Mutter Museum and a 1 day program on nursing history in Philadelphia on May 10, 1974. Items collected for the project were originally preserved at the Mutter Museum and are now at the Nursing History Museum at La Salle University. This project evolved into a part of the Bicentennial Celebration in 1976.
Gift of Lillian Sholtis Brunner.
