Edith Lewis (Palmer) Griscom (1881-1967) was born and raised in Media, Pennsylvania. Griscom was educated at the Westtown Boarding School in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and Temple University. She trained and received her diploma from Pennsylvania Hospital Training School for Nurses (Class of 1913).
