Abstract:
Philadelphia General Hospital was run by the City of Philadelphia, and was located in West Philadelphia where Children's Hospital of Philadelphia now stands. The City closed Philadelphia General Hospital in 1977. The Records of Philadelphia General Hospital document the administrative and financial history of the institution.
