Olney High School is located in North Philadelphia. Theodore H. Nitsche, choir director, retired in 1970.
The collection consists of scrapbooks covering the tenure of Theodore H. Nitsche as director of choral music at Olney High School. The scrapbooks document activities of the Olney High School A Capella Choir, the Graduate Choir, and the Olney High School Band from 1933 to 1971. The collection also includes scrapbooks covering general activities of Olney High School and a 1939 Olney High yearbook. The scrapbooks include newspaper clippings; photographs of choirs and choir members; concert programs, announcements, and invitations; church bulletin; letters of appreciation to Nitsche; lists of choir members; and ephemera.
