Abstract:

Scott Wilds served as a legislative assistant to Councilman Edward A. Schwartz beginning in 1984. In 1987, Wilds began work as Executive Assistant to the Housing Director of the City of Philadelphia's Office of Housing and Community Development, eventually rising to the position of Deputy Director in 2001.

Approximately half the collection consists of City of Philadelphia political campaign and election documents, some relating to LGBT legislation. The rest of collections consists of correspondence, newsletters, pamphlets, publications, and newspaper clippings about Philadelphia and national LGBT organizations, political initiatives, and social events.

The collection is arranged into 10 series as follows:
