Overview and metadata sections
Arlene Tyner was involved in demonstrations against nuclear testing and campaigns to desegregate Girard College, among other related activities. She also gathered a wealth of published information regarding Grenada, South Africa, and Israel.
This collection contains papers which document some of Philadelphia's civil rights history. It details Arlene Tyner's involvement in organizations and also includes examples of her personal writings on the issues surrounding them.

Series 2, Accession 901, is made up of 1 box of printed materials dating from 1970 to 1997. The material is arranged by subject: Grenada, Israel, some miscellaneous pamphlets, and South Africa. This collection also includes a brief biographical sketch.
