This is a finding aid. It is a description of archival material held at the Temple University Libraries: Special Collections Research Center. Unless otherwise noted, the materials described below are physically available in their reading room, and not digitally available through the web.

Overview and metadata sections

The Ambler Campus Alumni Association, originally the Horticulture Council Association, changed names multiple times but always remained dedicated to the alumni of the campus. Through scholarships, events, and reunions, the association connected alumni from a wide range of graduation years.

The Ambler College Alumni Association Records consists of minutes, correspondence, publications, financial records, photographs and scrapbooks.

This collection has been arranged into five series as follows:

Series 1: Administration and financial records, 1952-2020
Series 2: Clubs and activities records, 1946-2020
Series 3: Reunion materials, 1968-2023
Series 4: Publications, 1937-2013
Series 5: Photographs, scrapbooks, and objects, 1920-2016

A few copies of Pen and Trowel were removed and added to Temple University Ambler Campus Records, SCRC 202.

This series includes correspondence, background information and notes related to the reunions the association planned every five years. It also includes Diamonds of the Decade materials where the school and post-graduate accomplishments of several graduates from each year were highlighted.

Scope and Contents

Newsletters, pamphlets, and flyers make up the bulk of this series. Also included are notes, background materials, and correspondence relating to the book by Jenny Rose Carey, A Century of Cultivation.

Scope and Contents

This series includes photographs, Diamonds of the Decades scrapbooks, a scrapbook by Eleanor Fullerton (Class of 1921), various ephemera, one poster and two squishy toys.
