Bound handwritten diary of E. S. Worrell, of the 97th Pennsylvania Regiment from West Chester, Pa. Describes the period of time leading up to the war, serving on a ship bound for Port Royal, South Carolina, encamping on Warsaw Island, moving to Jacksonville and Fernandia, Florida, and to Hilton Head.
