Overview and metadata sections

Cuneiform clay tablet with a wax seal impression on one side and a receipt recording the wages of sailors on the other. Likely in Sumerian, dated in the reign of King Shulgi in the year that the west wall was built, Third Dynasty of Ur. One corner broken off, with some loss of text.

Acquired from Erik von Scherling, date unknown.
