Overview and metadata sections
The collection contains literary society Pow Wow Club's correspondence, meeting notices, member lists, and records of anniversary dinners held at the Mercantile Club, Philmont Country Club, and Locust Club. Members of the Philadelphia Jewish Community established the literary society in 1893. The bulk of the correspondence was sent or received by Louis Magaziner who served as the club's secretary for nearly three decades.
Donated by Henry J. Magaziner in December 1995. Collection previously administered by the Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center, acquired by Temple in June 2009.
