Walter Hausdorfer was librarian at Temple University from 1946-1963. He graduated from Temple in 1925 and worked as assistant librarian there until taking a position at the New York City Library while earning a bachelor's and master's degree in library science from Columbia University, where he also worked as a librarian in the School of Business. While librarian at Temple he established Temple's rare book collection.

Bound account book with entries by an unknown person from the early 19th century, followed by sketches of people, buildings, and landscapes by Walter Hausdorfer, dated from approximately 1934-1949.
