Overview and metadata sections
Collection consists of photographs of Kauffman, the bulk of which are images of him in boxing shorts and gloves from the 1930s and 1940s; photocopies of newspaper articles on Kaufmman; and a 7 page personal reminiscence on some of his boxing bouts written in 1981. Also included is a reproduction print of a newspaper image of another Philadelphia boxer, Solomon "Young King Solomon" Tabakin and a photocopy of a naturalization certificate for Max Kravitz.
Gift of Tracy Kauffman Wood, 2006. Collection previously administered by the Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center, acquired by Temple in June 2009.
