Overview and metadata sections

A bound carbon copy report prepared by the Engineering Division at Santa Monica regarding the design and technical analysis for an orbiting satellite. Two designs are presented: one of a four-stage alcohol-liquid oxygen rocket, and the second for a two-stage rocket employing liquid hydrogen and oxygen as propellants. The report considers power plants, design alternatives, trajectories, and landing apparatus.
