Overview and metadata sections
Dance Advance was founded by The Pew Charitable Trusts in 1993 to provide financial support to dance artists, organizations, and educational training programs in southeastern Pennsylvania. The purpose of the annual financial grants is to fund diverse dance projects, provide professional development opportunities for dancers, and enhance dance programming in the Philadelphia area.
The collection contains programs and publicity, videotapes and DVDs of dance performances, and posters for the projects and performances of Dance Advance grant recipients. Dance Advance organizational materials are limited to scattered grant application guidelines. This collection includes preserved versions of the organization's website, available through Archive-It.
Series 2: VHS tapes and DVDs, 1975-2010
Series 3: Mounted posters, 2001
Series 4: Website versions in Archive-It, 2014
