D. Lawton was a Philadelphia bookseller.
Scrapbook of a Philadelphia bookseller on several sports: horsemanship, dog training and boxing, with the main focus on angling. Items mounted or tipped into the pages include clippings, book catalogues, leaflets and poems. These items include a facsimile of the title page of the 1st edition of The Compleat angler (1653), and the Catalogue of the library of Thomas Westwood (1873), the author of the Chronicle of the compleat angler.
