The Forbes Lithograph Manufacturing Company was founded by William H. Forbes and located in Boston, Massachusetts with branches in New York and Chicago, and an agent in London. Their work included lithography, embossing, type and block printing, plate printing, photography, and photolithography.

Collection contains approximately 18 bound letter and invoice file books detailing transactions with clients and other businesses.

The collection is arranged chronologically.

Purchased from Carmen D. Valentino, August 10, 1983. Volumes in box 10 dated August 17, 1894-November 28, 1894 and April 17, 1895-October 5, 1895 were purchased from Carmen D. Valentino, June 26, 2015.
