Overview and metadata sections
The Keystone View Company, located in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and founded in 1892, sold and distributed stereographic images. By 1905 it was the largest stereographic company in the world. In 1963 Keystone became a subsidiary of Mast Development Company, and in 1972 Mast closed the Meadville manufacturing site.
This collection contains 194 Stereopticon views from the Keystone View Company. Images depict various activities around the world, although few locations are identified. Includes two views of Philadelphia school gardens, cutting ice with a saw in Pennsylvania, and corn husking on a New Jersey farm.
Donated by Esther R. Miller, February 11, 1991. Originally received as part of the Fellowship House (Philadelphia, Pa.) Records (Acc. 723).
