Overview and metadata sections
Clyde Mitchell Schuck earned B.A. and M.S. degrees from Temple University. He began working for Campbell Soup Company in 1936, where he worked for over 25 years. During World War II, Schuck attained the rank of Infantry Major and was aide to General Eichelberger, commander of the U.S. Eighth Army in the Pacific Theater. He and his wife, Marvel, lived in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
The Clyde M. Schuck papers, 1923-1961 [bulk 1942-1945], primarily consist of letters from Clyde to his wife (Marvel Schuck) during World War II. There is also a fully-captioned photograph album of Schuck's time during the war, and a folder of his service records. In addition, the collection includes scattered documents dating from Shuck's life after World War II.
Gift of Mary T. Schuck, October 22, 2002.
