Overview and metadata sections

The Historical Society of Montgomery County embarked on an oral history project in 2004-2008 to interview surviving veterans from World War II, especially in the Norristown area. Most interviews were conducted by Ken Randall.

This collection consists of about 30 recorded interviews and about 50 file folders on local World War II veterans. The interviews range in length from less than a minute to about one-half hour, and were recorded in WAV, MP3, and DVF formats. Both women and men who served the military during World War II were interviewed. The file folders contain biographical material, copies of memoirs, letters about participation in the oral history project, interviewee data sheets, and reproduced photographs and service records.
