Hannah B. Lester (b. 1815) was a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) who lived in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

Abram Carn (born circa 1782) and Mary (Keefe) Carn were the parents of Abram H. Carn (1824-1904) and lived in Whitemarsh township, Pennsylvania. Abram H. Carn married Amanda Blyer, and was the proprietor of a general store and post office in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Their daughter, Mary (born 1882), married William Buchanan.

The relationship between Lester and Carn is unknown.

This collection contains one binder of letters addressed to Hannah B. Lester from her mother, 1837 to 1846. The collection also contains three receipt books, one dated 1817 and attributed to Abram Carn, and two attributed to an unknown person with the surname Donut, dating from 1895 to 1896 and 1896 to 1897.
