Overview and metadata sections
"Horsham Township began as a farming and residential community [in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania]. [For many years] the Willow Grove Naval Air Station [was] Horsham's largest employer and its most recognized feature. The predecessor of the air station was the Pitcairn Airfield. Here, Harold Pitcairn built the Mailwing airplane, delivered airmail along the East Coast, formed Eastern Air Lines, developed the Autogiro, and entertained celebrities such as Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart."
Leon Clemmer and the Horsham Preservation and Historical Association. Images of America: Horsham Township. Charleston, S.C.: Arcadia, 2004.
This collection is comprised of maps, atlas plates, aerial photographs, and architectural plans of Horsham Township and Montgomery County, most of which are reproductions. Of special interest are a hand-drawn map of Limekiln Pike and a property draught of Graeme Park.
