Abstract:

These are two pocket-sized, ring-type binders. Each dates from a different period of Milton G. Guggenheim, Jr. employment in the petrochemical industry. The 1948 Shell Co. notebook is in the nature of standard operating procedures manual. The later notebook from Petro-Tex Oil Corp. appears to be more of a compendium of useful knowledge.
