Roberta M. Tremain was a textile chemist employed in the Research Department. Her group would report each year on their research work recording their findings in notebooks illustrated with samples of the textiles or fibers that they studied.

General Chemical Company and Reynolds & Branson Limited. provided chemicals. The catalogs date from the 1930s. Clive& Company provided chemical apparatus. Their catalog is undated.

This is a collection of three unrelated catalogs produced by chemical manufacturers.
