Abstract:

Varian Associates was founded in 1948. An early connection with faculty members at Stanford University led the fledgling company to establish its headquarters in Palo Alto, CA in 1953. The company enjoyed a growth spurt during the years 1981-1990 when sales rose to over 1 billion dollars per annum. In 1999 the company was spinning off its various divisions.

These are miscellaneous schematics from Varian Associates for their Model V6060 mass spectrometer and other products. All date from the period 1960-1963. About half is related to the Model V6060, but the rest is a miscellany.
