Overview and metadata sections

The Calco Chemical Company, Inc., a manufacturer of coal tar dye, was formed in 1915 in Bound Brook, New Jersey by Robert C. Jeffcott. American Cyanamid Company acquired Calco's business and assets in January 1929 and Calco operated as a separate corporation until 1939, when it became the Calco Chemical Division of American Cyanamid Company. The division ultimately ceased to operate under the Calco name in 1954, when it was rechristened the Organic Chemicals Division of American Cyanamid.

This album contains black and white photographs of attendees at an American Cyanamid Company dinner on April 24, 1947 with members of the Calco Chemical Division. The photographs consist of large and small group portraits and the subjects of the photographs are not identified. Certain attendees are shown wearing buttons and boutonnieres, suggesting the dinner was held to commemorate a service or company anniversary.
