Nathan Eisenberg was a working pharmacist whose pharmacy was located in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. He attended high school in Bridgeton, New Jersey.
The Chemistry notebook contains notes on forty laboratory experiments. The Physics notebook contains notes on thirty-seven experiments and pre-printed pages from National Note-Book Sheets (text by George M. Turner and C. Brooks Hersey) as well as handwritten pages by Eisenberg.
These are two scrapbook-type notebooks, containing notes from high-school level courses in Chemistry and Physics.
Donated by Eisenberg's grandson, Dr. David N. Beratan (R.J. Reynolds Professor, Department of Chemistry, Duke University).
