Overview and metadata sections

E. Leonard Borg was born in New York City on September 22, 1916. He was a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institution and was employed by Uniroyal Chemical as a chemical engineer. He retired in 1978 after 32 years with the company as Manager of Research and Development. His areas of expertise were Product and Process Development, Factory Design and Product Applications of Synthetic Rubber. Borg was a member of AIChE and ACS. He died in Venice, FL on January 31 2008.

The collection consists of a photocopy of a typewritten paper by Borg on the history of Uniroyal Chemical and a special 75th Anniversary issue of Uniroyal Chem-Texts , vol. 13, 1979, No. 3 containing an abbreviated history of the company. This appears not to have written by Borg.

This is relatively brief but comprehensive history of Uniroyal Chemical Company by a longtime employee who was in a position to know the facts.
