Abstract:
Records of the Southern Appalachian Yearly Meeting and Association and many of its constituent members. Includes minutes, membership records, newsletters, committee records, and miscellaneous. Some born-digital records. Also includes Charleston WV and Swannanoa Valley Meetings, which disaffiliated with SAYMA in 2022 and 2023.

Southern Appalachian Yearly Meeting and Association opened 1970/05/02 as an outgrowth of Southern Appalachian Association of Friends, itself formally organized 1959/05/17 at its fourth annual gathering. It joined Friends General Conference in 1977.
