Overview and metadata sections
An indulged meeting was established at Plumstead by Buckingham Monthly Meeting in 1727. The meeting for worship was established by Bucks Quarterly Meeting in 1730. Plumstead Preparative Meeting was established ca. 1731. The Orthodox branch of this meeting removed to Landisville in 1836. The preparative meeting was discontinued in 1878 and its members were transferred to Buckingham Monthly Meeting. Plumstead Meeting was discontinued in 1893. Plumstead Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued in 1867; its members were transferred to Buckingham Preparative Meeting (Hicksite). By 1900, the meeting for worship was held on an annual basis.
Plumstead Friends Meeting (2002- ) is an active monthly meeting described in QM-Ph-P560.
Records include: Orthodox men's minutes, 1835-1878.
