Overview and metadata sections
A meeting for worship at Pikeland was established in 1758 by Chester [Concord] Quarterly Meeting under Uwchlan Preparative Meeting and Goshen Monthly Meeting. The meeting was transferred to Uwchlan Monthly Meeting in 1763. A preparative meeting was established by Caln Quarterly Meeting in 1802. The Orthodox preparative meeting was discontinued in 1828,and its members were transferred to Uwchlan Preparative Meeting (Orthodox).The Hicksite preparative meeting was discontinued in 1856, and its members were transferred to Uwchlan Preparative Meeting (Hicksite). This meeting was often unofficially known as "Kimberton".
