This is a finding aid. It is a description of archival material held at the Quaker Meeting Records at Haverford College Quaker & Special Collections and Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College. Unless otherwise noted, the materials described below are physically available in their reading room, and not digitally available through the web.

Overview and metadata sections

Concord Monthly Meeting was established in 1684 by Chester [Concord] Quarterly Meeting. The monthly meeting circulated between Concord and Chichester until 1729; before this date the meeting was known as "Chichester". At the time of the Separation, Concord Monthly Meeting divided into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. The two branches began to hold their business meetings jointly in 1932, and in 1937, merged to form a united meeting under the two Concord Quarterly Meetings. Concord is currently an active monthly meeting.

Pre-Separation, Hicksite, Orthodox and United records include: Minutes since 1684; vital records since 1679; women's meeting minutes, 1715-1902; property records; financial records and miscellaneous papers, 1776-1801 and 1959-2011.
