Overview and metadata sections
A meeting for worship known as "George's Creek" was established under Kennett (Newark) Monthly Meeting in 1703; in 1705 this Meeting was transferred to Duck Creek Monthly Meeting. A preparative meeting was set off there between 1714 and 1717; this preparative meeting was discontinued in 1772. The meeting for worship moved to Appoquinimink Bridge in 1782, and a preparative meeting was again established under Duck Creek in 1788. The Orthodox Preparative Meeting was laid down at the time of the Separation in 1828. The Hicksite Preparative Meeting was discontinued two years later and its members were transferred to Duck Creek Preparative Meeting. A meeting for worship in Appoquinimink was revived in 1946 and a Preparative Meeting established in 1947. It was transferred to Wilmington from Southern Quarter. This Meeting is informally called Odessa.

Spreadsheet of the grid of markers in the Appoquinimink burial ground, through May 2023.
Further projects involving GPS mapping are planned. No one attended Appoquinimink after around 1873-1874 although burials continued. As Appoquinimink did not record its own burial records, it is possible additional information may be available in Camden/Duck Creek records as the preparative meeting was under its care through the 1950s.
