Overview and metadata sections

Abington Quarterly Meeting was established in 1786 by Philadelphia Yearly Meeting out of a division of Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting. After the Separation of 1827/1828, there were Hicksite and Orthodox branches of this quarterly meeting. The two branches reunited in 1955.

The volume includes a photocopy of a memo "Norristown Friends Home Funds" outlining the 1969 sale of the Home from the Incorporated Trustees to Foulkeways and outlining a new charge for the Quarter's Home Committee.
