Overview and metadata sections
Smyrna Preparative Meeting was established in 1823. In 1828 it divided into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. The Orthodox branch attached itself to Smyrna Monthly Meeting on that meeting's establishment in 1836. In 1902 Smyrna Preparative Meeting ceased to meet independently of the monthly meeting.
