Overview and metadata sections
Macedon, then Palmyra, became a preparative meeting in 1819 although members had already been meeting for worship. In 1824 the name of the meeting was changed to Macedown Preparative Meeting. The meeting split into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. The Orthodox branch was discontinued, then officially laid down 9mo1904.
